Sustainability Preconference

At this year’s Taste of the World Chef Culinary Conference, attendees are invited to take part in the first-annual Sustainability Preconference Sessions on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th.

With an emphasis on local food, attendees will learn how to break down a locally-raised pig at Sutter Meats, experience the day-to-day life of a local farmer at Joe Czajkowski Farms, or explore the world of craft brewing at Berkshire Brewing Company. Other sessions include local menu design and sourcing, as well as permaculture garden design and implementation.

Sustainability Preconference Scholarships

We are pleased to announce that we will be awarding 10 FULL SCHOLARSHIPS to waive registration costs for the Preconference Sustainability Sessions on June 6th and 7th!

To apply:

  • Submit a 250 word (max) paragraph that answers the following questions:
    • Why do you want to attend the pre-conference?
    • How will attending the pre-conference benefit your institution or community?
